Warmer to pretend.

·GlassBreaking

You were a beginning Not meant to progress You can never end You hurt with honesty You wore your pride Fundamentally unable to blend. Your sunlight, beneath your skin flickered. I held on to it more than anyone could. Such a fragile, beautiful soul I wanted to reach you I understood. White silence pounded against our shells Internal dialogue flowed together It burnt lovingly It merged and melt We had to be forever. I tried to hold on and not let you go But the noisy nothingness broke us down Its all trickery It isn't right We got turned the wrong way round. To all but me, You couldn't be a beginning You were the nothing beneath the end They had to dismiss you with their cosy ignorance It was warmer just to pretend...
