Watching You Sleep
Watching you sleep I brushed your lips with my fingertips while you slept. I circled them in admiring fashion, like a beacon that leads from darkness to light, like a string that controls a lofty kite. As a breath escaped your perfect mouth, like a welcoming breeze blown in from the south. As all the world lay still and deep, just as a rose which blooms when at its peak, there was something about that very moment, that just seemed so perfect! That I wanted to hold it as infinite.
