Water Wonders

In the depths of the ocean Underneath the sailing boats There are many different creatures Aimlessly wandering afloat Such as electric eels, tiger fish And hammerhead sharks Dolphins and porpoises they look the same But their differences set them apart Sand dollars and starfish are the weirdest Among all water creatures Which happens to be a huge interest To marine biology teachers Strangely though water fascinates me I wonder what life is like under the sea It’s so dark down under that it’s scary Some fish are as yellow as canaries There are mermaids and mermen Just swimming along with no destination Their smooth and slimy tails Spark my fascination I wish I had a tail So that I can swim along with them too I can only imagine the fun things That mermaids like to do Though as a human To me it will always be a wonder Of what life is like Deep down under By Glenn McCrary © 2009 Glenn McCrary (All rights reserved)
