we are the newborn children
we are the newborn children ------------------------------------- we are the newborn children the weak and the wailing we are the eyes yet unopened though soon to be waking scalpel the morningglories they won't bleed from the wounds dreams made like lungs strapped in iron maiden pneumonia they won't bleed they won't bleed they won't bleed in drugging us tell us your somber stories blare out your cacophonous pleads take it out, swift collective paranoia they won't bleed they won't bleed they won't bleed in drugging us we are the newborn children the young and the dying sundered by antidepressants though soon to be waking (they die hungry and wanting, empty shells left for the wind useless shadows of what have been saturated with hallucinogenic longing soon we'd be one with the numbers another part of the crowd with endless processions, bewildered and screaming, screaming out loud they haunt us, chimes singing mourned with cold symphonies hang up the curtains on what have been masticated by the debris) release us from these umbilical nooses we are the newborn children the burned and blistering seeking the womb to return in though born for awakening
