We will always find a way
As I stood on the balcony breathing in the crisp morning air taking my 1st sip of blue mountain my favourite cuppa I sawmy brother's carin the driveway. Smiling I think to myself, A man they said won’t make it to 16 now drives a slick white German sports car. We live in the same security village, his home across the cobble stone road from mine. When he was diagnosed my parents nearly lost their minds They struggled with the lingering finality of his suffering But they stuck it through, we all stuck it through. I spent countless hours talking about the mulitverse, heaven, the hell we lived in, recycling of energy and how we never really die. Fighting the battles the medicine was suppose to ease. I saw the pain in my mother’s eyes as her son faded in and out of darkness My father’s hands raised him and held him up so he doesn’t choke on his own vomit after the “therapy” Walking back into the house Pictures of our youth remind me of the good times and the bad. In spite of the pending doom prophesised by the doctors When he finally lost his mind things got better The battles become harder as we fought to the death for this life Hurting himself in the most gruesome ways seemed to have eased the pain One morning as my parents entered the room: There stood a man, strong and ready. The doctors gave him a clear bill of health and sent him home. Now looking in the mirror I see my brother He is the light and I am the dark We take turns in this vessel Today it’s my turn to play. The doctors still believe only one of us exists. But we found a way, We will always find a way! Tatsu
