Wedding Day of My Sister
Today, all your youth you’ve waited for When in a man’s embrace fulfillment you’ll seek Yet your tears this parting night I can’t explain Is it of joy or of something you can’t describe? In the anteroom waiting is your mother in-law Her son’s smile she admire with pride. Today, all through your teenage you’ve hoped for When your predestined life you’ll happily start. Many men became my friend because of you, I think the roses grow only because of you, I still feel the sun shines only because of you. Tonight all my tears I’ve reserved for I’ll barely wait till memories of today Others have parted with My little backpack I’ll pack to visit you When I arrive, I’ll call your name Through the wooden window of his lone room; He would have gone to work. Probably, he is a farmer He earns his income from the fertile soil. He would have gone to work. Perhaps, he is a fisherman He saves his earnings at the bank of the river.
