What Have I Done
Because you have four legs You must be different from us Because we cannot understand you You must not be intelligent, You give a wag of your tale In response to our voices You pat your paw on my leg After I say I love you Are you not trying to communicate, But because you don't use our words You must not think for yourself, I cannot accept that I see the change in you Your cuddles are colder Your kisses are fewer And farther between You don't have that smile That we have all come to love Do you know what we did to you, Did you want children, Did you want a family of your own, Who are we, To deny you that choice, Who are we, To force you under the knife, As we sit together I look at you And tears fill my eyes The only thought going through my mind What have I done?

Mental Journey
I am on a journey of the mind. Contemplating the universe on every scale, and doing a complete introspective exploration. I may never be a literary academic, but I share my humble thoughts in hope that they may inspire others.
