what is forever?
what is forever? our concept of lifetime alters as we age. lifelong, we were sure, was synonymous with forever; it is but a sigh in this eternity. tomorrow will be yesterday, before the next beat of your heart and what we thought would be a marathon, indeed turns out to be but a short, quick sprint. your babies will have their own, before the next blink of your eyes. this is not to say dwell upon the end, but keep your eye on the horizon, for while it seems you will never reach its brink suddenly, the ride will be over, before your next breath and that will be your last. ©tlp 2010
