What makes me smile?
Do you know what makes me smile? A beautiful woman walking down the supermarket aisle, The radiance of an illuminating sun, Conversing with friends and poking fun, To achieve incredible feats, after much distress, To fail, and still understand that I tried my best, To feel the soft warmth of a woman's breast, To never forfeit and never to rest, From relaxing and drinking the coldest of beers, To conquering the most troublesome of fears, Watching a father joyously play with his son, Going to my special trail, for another morning run, The confidence to always succeed, To forget the memories of anger, pain, and greed, The feeling of my toes in the softness of sand, To always accept a friendly hand, To be angelic, instead of a jerk, The soreness of my body, after a hard week at work, Witnessing a dove soaring above the city noise, To be an innocent child again, to play with my toys, What constitutes a smile or grin? Is it an interesting novel or refrainment of sin? What captures one's life, in a special way? To live each moment, as if it was the last day?
