What Makes my Heart Beat
I've spent hours penning letters after midnight to get you out of my head. I've tied your letters with red velvet ribbon, swept my eyes over ink guided by your hand. So many times my heart stumbled when you said my name, when I heard yours. I struggled to deny I'm in love with a girl. How can love this pure be wrong? I feel foolish to say 'I love you' when I've never stood face to face with you. But still I know what makes my heart beat. What makes my heart beat is you.
