What's The Point?

What’s The Point? What’s the point of having eyes that look with thankful contentment at the beauty of God’s world, if those same eyes turn away from the pain and suffering of others? What’s the point of having ears that hear and understand their God's word if those ears will not listen to the pleas of others or close to words that they do not wish to hear? What’s the point of having the voice of an angel, or the ability to speak in knowledgeable theological tongue if that same tongue spits out with anger, words that hurt? What’s the point of having hands that take with such grace and give with extravagant generosity, if those same hands are not used to hold, caress and reassure? What’s the point of having legs that kneel in a public show of reverence if those same legs straighten to hasten away from those around us in need or despair? What’s the point in beating your breast in shame, humbly asking for forgiveness from God and whoever else will listen, if you can not forgive the wrongs you feel have been done to you by others.
