What Wind Has Given--What Wind Has Taken

·LostBoy

It makes a whisping sound, Warm wind passing by your ears. It has a certain way about it, Melting troubles, fading fears. The wind has stolen voices, calling me back home, Leaving me without a path, alone and left to roam. Sporadically I curse the wind, not fearing who may hear, Again this thief it steals my words heard only in my ears. I picture children laughing; wind blowing dandelions from their hands. My lover’s hair sways gently in the breeze, Inspired awe wind now demands. The wind has frozen tears gliding slowly down my face. Things I love blown away from me, As I chase their warm embrace. A breeze may carry smells of blossoms, conceived in summer’s rain, At other times a temperate breeze has helped to ease my pain. Afraid to move, not even a breath, inhale lingering success. Uninvited guests now stirring through, I'm unable to repress. The Wind Has Given sorrow, The Wind Has Taken fear. It’s right, it’s wrong, it doesn’t care, its motives so unclear.
