When
When I'm in your arms I lose all my notions. My pride and my shame simply disappear. I shed all my sense of fair proportions. All the things begin and finish here. When I lie beside you all I know, Every happy feeling, every grief, All my life's ambitions, young and old, Take on a new meaning, nurture a belief. When I comb my fingers through your hair, When I feel that silky, thread-like touch, It seems I can master all and dare Conquer every ill, however much. When I hear your breathing in my ear, When my head I bury in your breasts, My heart sifts through thoughts, both dark and clear, And comes up with just the very best. When our bodies search each other's pleasure, When we burst in rhythmic, blissful pain, We will have trespassed all bounds and measure And our love shall have achieved its aim.
