When I was younger, I was taught things i should have never learned When I was younger, I was lying cheating, stealing and not waiting my turn When I was younger, I needed to hear the truth and see the sound When I was younger, I needed to be loved and as funny as a clown When I was younger, I had faith but it wasn't blind When I was younger, These were my beliefs, this what i fed my mind Now that I'm older, I know taking shortcuts is not the way to go Now that I'm older, I've calm down and I'm just taking everything slow Now that I'm older, People ask me if I miss the night life and the fast lane Now that I'm older, I tell them I dont miss a dead end filled with so much pain Now that I'm older, I know that lifestyle was never meant for me Now that I'm older, I know nothing from that world was ever meant to be
