When Knowing Each Was New

When knowing you was new, When you knowing me was new to you too, We took special pleasures exploring each other's bodies. Like braille to the blind, our loving fingertips caressed each line. We dipped our tongues in and out, to taste the flavor of each other's mouths. Mouths who whispered sweet things In soft secret ears, love words of lust, in a foreign language, known only to us. And I took you inside me and a river flowed, just like the sounds coming from my mouth, speaking in tongues. You filled me up, completely up. Your love spilled down over the top, like ice cream, soft serve from Dairy Queen. Till you tired of it, and it became mundane. You enjoyed the chase and the game, Much more than the capture. Like a hunter who prefers a trophy instead of dinner. You'll now chase another and become the hunter again, till there is no more room left onyour walls for anything. Then where will you be? You'll be old with your memories, of me loving you and you loving me, when knowing each was new.

I enjoy writing and since rediscovering the power of poetry, it has brought me much joy! My favorite poet is Richard Brautigan, and I am a big fan of freestyle poetry, as I find it less limiting and most creative. I also like spoken word poetry. ...
