WHEN THOR STRIKES HIS MIGHTY HAMMER
WHEN THOR STRIKES HIS MIGHTY HAMMER*'Tis Thor that strikes his mighty hammer,Son of Odin, father of all! They quake when he dons his sturdy armor,The Valkyries cry he did enamor!*At a drinking contest in the land of Giants,he drank so much, he created the tides. He traveled by chariot drawn by two goats, To Valhalla, where he met the berserks!*Ask, and his wife Embla, as you shall see, they were the first before you and me.Created by Odin, from logs on the shore.Blessed and protected by the hammer of Thor.*His hammer a gift from the trickster God Loki, was stolen from them by the Giants of Bergelmir. So Thor and Loki, dressed as Freya and maid, gained entrance to the Giant's secret enclave.*In order that he might get the hammer back, the Giants agreed, on a marriage pact,of Freya, Thor's sister, he donned his disguise, and this my friend, was the Giant's demise!*For when Mjollnir was placed, in the lap of Thor,to bless the union, of fertility God Freya,He revealed his disguise and killed them all, Thus, exalting the virtues of the Thunder God's lore.*Beget by a mother of middle planet earth,on runestones, they still sing his praise, when Norsemen ruled to sail Viking seas, and mighty Thor enshrined on their history!*WordPlaya, March 2009*
