Where?
A new day has dawned and, I’m not looking back. The queen has been pawned and, Left upon the stack. When I fled into the mountains, All my days were null and void, But don’t step into my orchard, Lest you want to end up destroyed, A new day has dawned and, I’m not looking back. A young woman cries for mercy and, Is laid upon her back. An open wound is festering, Among the rooted trees, The truance officer’s sequestering, Among the toasted hippies, A new day has dawned and, I’m not looking back. Another pancake’s devoured and, They serve up another stack. Feed me to the lions, In endless misery, And I’ll close my eyes for protection, From the endless swarm of fleas, A new day has dawned and, I’m not looking back. I guess I fell off of the bus and, Now I’m laid upon my back.
