Where did you go?
Blurred images flicker across the television screen. Muted voices - laughter. The news? A sitcom? A movie too often seen? Aimlessly my thoughts drift to you. Where are you? Where did you go? What was my sin for making you leave? I long to make amends. To hold you close - feel your love - your warmth. Refresh - renew - to begin again. I reach for your hand You pull away - recoil from my touch. Your eyes fixed firmly on the television screen. A quiet smile - gentle laughter from what you see. Where are you? Where did you go? Tell me. What was my sin?
