Whirling Whorl
And what of this poet's fascination with the spirals of nature? A snail shell's intricate whirl coiling, perfect... The desert's dust devil's fury racing and then dissipating... The spiritual ecstasy of a whirling dervish. Tornados, hurricanes destructive, yes, yet awe-inspiring to watch as they form on Doppler radar -that gathering of clouds, slowly at first and then the distinctive spin. Is this swirling design something enigmatic, primeval the perpetual spin of our planet? The coursing of our blood as in the circulation of wind of waters- their whirlpools and waves there's art in the vortex a rose petal's configuration so swirling and coiled it's the breath of the elements- A stroke of the Creator's paintbrush dizzying, hypnotic... lifeblood's whorl.
