Whispers In the Dark
Wingless wants a poem One in which she stars A special place of honor to erase a horror of the past A mother who'se forgotten us I tragic fact we share I know the longing for that love A longing to be whole I know about the hands that take from us what they will to use us for their pleasure Ripping from us our virgin treasure I know that in the night The whispers from the past The doubts of our worth That we caused our own pain The imagining that the stain upon our soul is payment for a previous life We must have done something very wrong To earn our pain and plight But I stand here as a guiding light For one that seems so young I was once where you are now I offer you my hand Though the road is dark And the future is unclear I offer you my hand But only when you fall For if I held your hand Throughout this long road You would not learn how strong you are Or how to make it on your own I know you feel uncertain Road weary and badly bruised The first thing you must learn my dear Is to not listen to the whispers They are lies that they once told to you To keep you in your fears Your soul is not stained because your bad But that you believe it is So little one, who feels alone in the dark Tell those voice, even whispers That you refuse to hear All those lies they told you to keep you in your fears Because unfortunately, my expectation Is for you to tough it out To be strong as I know you can Oh, and ignore my spelling please
