whose stupid idea was this reconciliation
Mrs. Dlomo still leaves in her shanty shack Wondering what happened to her son Meshack The talk of reconciliation does not calm her shock Daily she curses this reconciliation That has brought her nothing but frustration The TRC hearings have left a bitter taste in here mouth She wonders whose stupid idea was this reconciliation That allows former oppressors to stand in the pedestal of liberation heroes That lets the masses to continue living in abject poverty In the scale of truth and reconciliation truth is starved by this race That pleads ignorance to the knowledge of the evils of apartheid Millions cry the revolution is betrayed This pseudo unity is candy coated by the lie of reconciliation Whose stupid idea was this reconciliation? Where there the self appointed defenders of freedom have grown deaf To the cries of the masses that still live in oppression The manifesto of freedom has been traded for tender documents BEE millionaires have even forgotten how to spell poverty This is a travesty a mad parody a sad tragedy Black farm workers are still treated like cattle How dare we claim we have won this battle? This olive branch of reconciliation must be burnt at the stake justice Whose stupid was this reconciliation? Suddenly De Klerk is a fellow comrade-tell that to the victims of the third force That De Klerk claims to know nothing of its existence Since when did inkatha become a liberation movement- please tell that To the countless widows in thokoza and boipatong, explain to the train victims This reconciliation is deception-This reconciliation is deception Maybe Mandela must be thrown back in Prison so he will identify with the frustrations of the masses Somebody must snatch the whiskey form Thabo Mbeki’s hand, maybe he just might see This reconciliation is a joke. These voices that speak from the pulpit of reconciliation Forget that the black man has already been a sacrifice In the Alter of human suffering.
