Why Did You Get 'Twisting Feet' Mum?
To Poppy: "Why did you get Twisting Feet Mummy Dear?" “When a little girl,” said Mum “No more in age than you I danced and danced, back and forth Till my face turned blue.” “One day, My Dad, he said to me, ‘A walk to town we’ll take.’ So off we strode, hand in hand. Then my feet began to ache.” “We went; we shopped and had some fudge And back we came so quick. Up and down the hill we marched, My feet began to twist and kick.” “Daddy dear,” I said with charm, “My feet are twisting,” this I shout! “They twist from side to side and back and forth, Up and down, in and out.” “Carry me Daddy before I drop! You see, my steps, so small!” Daddy turned and said to me: ‘Twisting feet are good for all.’” “My Daddy was always right….. So home we trudged and had some tea. ’So there!’ said Mum, ‘that is why Twisting feet have stayed with me.’” Grandpa 6 December 2013 To my granddaughter, Poppy. A little leavening for all of us....

Love creativity - especially writing - poems especially. Love my wife, cats, our church, reading, warm weather (so rare here!) and snow - quite common these days - even in spring....
