Why Wait?

I didn't have to keep it in I let my emotions spill out I knew that I was safe with you And in that there was no doubt You knew everything about me My thoughts and all my dreams I honestly thought i knew you too At least that's how it had seemed You sure fooled me with the game you played I thought i was in it with you it turns out you were running away And there was nothing I could do I sat there and let it slide Thinking that you would return Then i felt something inside Deep inside me and it burned A fire burned within me And i realized it was too late If you weren't even worth it Then why should i sit and wait
