Why We Need Imagination
A dreamer sits head in hand Not knowing how to respond To that ever-present question, Why look to the stars When life is here on Earth, Why think of things we cannot see When it leads to only more questions, Why do you dream… Because, imagination is the key Necessity is the mother of invention But without the threat of strife, Hardship, or pain, there is no necessity Progress plateaus, and life stagnates, Until someone with troubles passes you by Imagination is the key Imagination… is that gentile breeze That fills your sails on an otherwise calm day Imagination… is a hunger Within the mind, stirring the soul, Imagination is what allows us to invent Without the need for necessity! Imagination is what sets us apart From the great apes, so alike in genes, But so unwilling to grow When you see someone imagining Don’t ask what good will come of it Ask why you never thought to Imagine

Mental Journey
I am on a journey of the mind. Contemplating the universe on every scale, and doing a complete introspective exploration. I may never be a literary academic, but I share my humble thoughts in hope that they may inspire others.
