Will I Be There
The clocks keep ticking The world keeps spinning It seems to me that People dont realize Will the pain keep sticking? Will the torment keep winning? We're not like a rabbit in a hat People can't just materialize Will I be there for those I've turned my back on? Will I run away until no one can care? Will I be there for everyone who loves me? This is the load I bear How do we hold onto the ones we've lost? And still be there for the ones still around? There is a choice we hold Between being lost and leaving Does anyone consider the cost? Of having others put them in the ground Live uncontrolled Or stop the grieving Will I be there for those I've turned my back on? Will I run away until no one can care? Will I be there for everyone who loves me? This is the load I bear Its the classic story of love after death But can we love before we lose? Do we all look for greener pastures? Can we be happy where we are? Who will be the next to breathe there last breath? More than anything I wish we could choose To not let that deep sleep be our master The deeper we love the deeper we scar Can I be there for those I've turned my back on? How far can I run until no one will care? Can I be there for everyone who loves me? This is the load I dont want to bear
