Wind of Change

She wore a blue scarf And a long red coat And had a blond shiny hair That hit the floor She talked so loud With a charming voice And spread around Both Pain and joy She was meant to be Cute and lovely And only one boy Watched her secretly She was getting old Tough and bold Sittin' alone In her house so cold Waitin' to find A beautiful mind But desperate enough To recognize her charm Only one boy Saw she's lonely Only one boy Saw her beauty She was twenty eight She was in need To whatever she said No one agreed One day up One day down She loved enough Too much to drown But only one boy Loved her back She loved him too But turned her back They're all gone now In the wind of change He could even bow Though it felt so strange But did they know what they'll be missing In the pleasant boy Who once got it all Then lost his soul In the wind of change She was on a bus Talking to a guy Who seemed just a friend Cold and shy He looked at her She looked at him Though just stares It meant something She had a big chin And a flower in her hand She talked and grinned Then took off with her friend Turned, stared at him And he stared back She only wanted him And he wanted her back But did they know what they'll be missing Their deep new love Which was getting born Then was shot dead Through the wind of change
