Winter Chill has Arrived - A Sonnet (Amended)
‘Tis after noon – the sun - so red, so low, Through the shadows, on the path, I see – Rotting leaves, so wet, beneath the tree, They now reflect the time of life, I know. A cutting breeze, so piercing, blows so hard, I feel the autumn of life has passed indeed; ‘Tis Britain’s winter now, I must concede, Exhausting for all who've had a life so scarred. What now for Brexit? - raising doubts – so stark? What now for Covid? - that threatens our lives - so bleak? What now for government? – decisions made – so meek? What now for Britain? - a future unknown - so dark? Ah well….. Now I see a perky robin at my feet - His cheery song now makes my life complete!

Love creativity - especially writing - poems especially. Love my wife, cats, our church, reading, warm weather (so rare here!) and snow - quite common these days - even in spring....
