… stones in the graveyard; huddle together for warmth. What season could this be? What folly could befall this earth? What manner of a man speaks, No! say these things? That stones behave this way? What planet ??? Are we not third from the sun? And being third, Not first or second; In which case we could burn! But third and therefore And therefore, yes! Are we not blessed indeed? Stones in the graveyard … Why huddle at all? And in Spring, Summer or Fall Would they huddle together at all? Third from the sun and blessed indeed. Jupiter and Mars What manner of seasons have they? How smiles the Heaven upon them? What manner of stones have they? and do they huddle also? Do they see blankets of white; And clouds of gray and black Yet black be negative here no longer For does it not bring promise of rain? and rivers thundering to the sea; Slightly tilting the mouth corners, on the hardy farmer’s face; for come Spring: Life comes forth in beauty and wonder and splendor And unbelievably so; But then again, Life had to be there to start For only life brings life!!!
