Woman in Mind

I have a woman in mind She haunts me Delivers my blows Hardens me With each unspoken words With her stifling stare I have a woman in mind She discourages me Shades my colors a deeper blue Bends over backwards To enlighten My first steps of failure I have a woman in mind My Amelia My flight We hang like stars Gleaming in contest Of who is the brighest I have a woman in mind She conjures me She talks in sweet waterfalls Each vowel and consonant Trickles of madrigals And sweet I-love-you's I have a woman in mind She's my everyday angel My blistering devil She both haunts and releases me She's my black and white Each vivid color That assembles my life
