Women The Great

·Boffin

Holding time in their hands they stood still Limbs stricken to the bound over-use Their hair silver as if they came second in this game of life Faces are the image of ancient beauty The wonders they create from their fingers to my mouth Their bodies bent because history lay on their back They are happy within their imperial state These are women the great Aged are their withered minds but hold more than I Somtimes their friend history mistreated them My roots lay with them as they started to grow Their feet have kissed the grounds of mystic places Arms that nurture babies to fulfillment Their bodies ride on vigorous fate These are women the great They dreamt dreams that split minds open Tossed destiny in the palms of their hands They are mothers of a planet so desolate At their foot lay pounding decisions Eyes have seen enough so they behind spectacles They have walked the path of life and reached the gate These are women the great Their wrinkled skin, a map to true happiness Sitting in chairs the world has to offer Imagination runs deep within their visible veins Their voices, a soft symphony A place where tombs have set their date This is my grandmother the great.
