Wonders of Night
A heavenly blanket has cozily covered Everything underneath its reach. Enamoring was what I’ve discovered, While dreaming on a beach. My eyes, they were curiously gazing, Not blinking, frozen in awe, Thus shining as if smoothly blazing; Such beauty only in dreams they saw. It was so pure like kept in heaven, With sweet seraphs by its side. You must be one of the seven! Happy tears they all cried. And then there was golden light, Behind an enormous satin curtain, Covering an unrepeated golden night. If it is real, I wasn’t certain. Now, swiftly! Remove the piling, That holds that curtain on the sky! I want to see them angels smiling, And the golden light in their eye. And then that beautiful singing lass With sparkling charms all around, Whispered truths into my glass Resembling softest harp’s sound. Am I sleeping, am I dreaming!? It seems just too perfect to be true. All the golden shine was dimming And made way for soothing blue. Oh dawn, stay away for a little more As I truly forgot about the time. Don’t you notice how much I adore? All I offer to you! My last dime. I hope it is not the great sorrow, Luring again with sweetest thing. But what if I only borrow? And for a little while with me bring. Day in and day out I got captured in heart and mind. Now can’t go an inch without, Those Memories are forever twined.
