Words can be terrifying Some speak without thinking or caring They throw around any and all words, most unkind Words with ill intent can scar someone for life, trust me I know But words can hold power They can change a life completely for better or worse They can save someone from jumping off the edge They can push someone to be their greatest self Words are a reflection of who you are What you say and how you say them tell a lot about you Where you’re from What you believe in How you were treated growing up They also tell a lot about the people who raised you Where they’re from And what they believe in How they were treated and how they treated you
