look here, inside the corner of my twisted smile a spark a bit of relevance, at this hope I find myself subscribing to, the measure of our miles. if we but hold on tight to the flicker of this waning light once shining around that midnight sun ... your words, they fueled the flame and together, we did run filled with hope of all things new yet to be undone. and then, darkness fell this void crept in between, as others took my tenured place once held up high beside this life I thought we knew. now, with memory's sad refrain within this span of circumstance I try and hold them near, standing on this precipice so far from wounded tears ...
