Wyoming's High Plain

Wyoming’s High Plain Clouds Hanging low Cumulous and stratus Gray to snowy white Against a soft blue sky; The sun is smiling above them… Horizon So far The world’s end Changes shape, morphing ahead. We move on; sincerely amazed. Keep going, I must see beyond… Buttes Beautiful skyline, Mountains rising up, Hills rolling, winding around, Meandering across the valley floor… Give me more! Give me more! Desert sleeping No passion here No green grass waving We go rolling further along Give me more. Keep moving on… Snow Crystal piles Gleaming in sunlight Melting very slowly now Only small mounds remain scattered Soon it will be gone away… Spring Is coming Bringing new life The grass will come With pleasant perfumed flowers nodding Life always returns again…even better. I am a Registered Nurse.. I have loved writing for as far back as I can remember. My first writing was experienced by drawing as a child. In 7th grade I wrote a poem about Abraham Lincoln that won an award and was read on the radio in Salt Lake City....
