Yellowstone Parks Re-Birth
Yellowstone Park’s Re-Birth Masses great have gathered here from every state on earth, They witness inspiration, and view the Parks rebirth. The holocaust, of land and life did rage so many years ago. Infernos send up cries of pain from every living thing below. The smoke choked life for miles around; fire blackened rocks and land and trees. It left but smoldering remnants… and called to beasts to flee. Today I come to witness, this awe inspiring place, Where once lapped flames from Satan’s tongue, but now renews with grace. I’m overwhelmed with feelings seeing pines return to stand, Trees tall upon the mountain , and quiet on the land. The scene is so familiar, from when I was but small. Canyon walls of yellow rock…move water to the falls. Stick fingers point to Heaven. I don’t know what they’re saying, Do they point in angry blame, or are they humbly praying? Bison roam the grassy plain, as eagles find their nest. The beavers work at carpentry, elk grazing mixed with rest. Fish jump from silver waters, deer rest upon the swell. In the land of Yellowstone, new life has made it well. IlaMae Stucki © revised 12/07/10

I am a Registered Nurse.. I have loved writing for as far back as I can remember. My first writing was experienced by drawing as a child. In 7th grade I wrote a poem about Abraham Lincoln that won an award and was read on the radio in Salt Lake City....
