Yesterday

This poem was written without any co-operation whatsoever from Sir Paul McCartney :) Yesterday Yesterday Writers block it seemed so far away Now it looks as though it’s here to stay Oh I am in a mess today Woodenly I have lost my creativity Poems I used to write so easily Now all get stuck on stanza three Why the words won’t flow I don’t know, I couldn’t say I try all day long, get it wrong To my dismay yay yay yay Yesterday Writing poems was just like child’s play Now I’m stuck and don’t know what to say My writer’s block won’t go away I’ve searched high and low To find words with which to play I tried to write a song, before long It went astray yay yay yay Yesterday I wrote in a bright and cheerful way Now it’s all in differing shades of grey So I can only hope and pray Yes I am in a mess today
