You are Mine & I am Yours

when we touch i feel a rush emotion flooding through my veins your lips touch mine, your hand's against my cheek, your touch ever so soft the love comes exploding forth from that look in your eyes the one i adore; the one i hold dear you ask what i'm thinking i can only keep staring my breathing beginning to come faster you grab me by the waste pull me in for the warmth two bodies reacting to the other's movements i want to say 'i love you'; i want to say 'never leave me' i look into your eyes, put a hand on either side of your face brush my lips agaisnt yours i want this moment to last forever you start to pull away but i cling tighter the fear that it will all disappear comes in a single burst i fight the tears not wanting you to see you can tell that i'm hiding something once more you ask what i'm thinking in a single breath i tell you 'i love you', i whisper 'don't let go', i cry out 'i miss you' too long have you been away from me; too long out of my grasp i look into your eyes and tell you, 'the nights are cold without you' we both know this won't last forever; yet it feels like forever is fading away it is slowly being eaten at by every day that passes by you put your hand ever so gently under my chin lift my face so you can look into my eyes wipe away a tear slowly making its course down my cheek and whisper to me, 'i'm not going anywhere. i am yours forever as you are mine' i suddenly can't contain the tears that have been welling in my eyes they spill forth like a never ending flow you hold me tighter in your warm embrace kiss my head, whisper you love me once more, and keep on holding the night fades away ever so slowly it seems i'm breathing in your scent, not letting my memory of it fade for once the night is over another week without you comes but for tonight, you are mine and i am yours
