You Are Smarter Than You Think
My poor friend I hate to see him this way He is so depressed But all I can do is pray That he will keep the faith And not do anything stupid That will put his life at stake Like riding with illegal bricks I know he is sizzling Deep on the inside However there are still laws By which he has to abide I don't want to see him Get thrown in jail For that place is a living hole In the depths of hell He is really worried about his girlfriend And he thinks that she is cheating If he finds out Someone will end up in the hospital bleeding Personally I think that He is just having fits of irrational panic And I know from deep within my heart That he is not a manic Whenever he's down I'm the only mechanic On the planet That deals with raw emotions That are planted So I tug on the roots To reveal what's below Which are feelings that my friend Doesn't want to show Things will get better If he learns to just let it go And if he doesn't Then their relationship will cease to grow By Glenn McCrary © 2009 Glenn McCrary (All rights reserved)
