You Held My Hand
You Held My Hand I reached out my needful hand, You grasped it tight and pulled me in. That quiet gesture was so grand! You let me live upon your land, I felt warm friendship grow within. I reached out, my needful hand. Your love and kindness did expand, And here I’ve felt the veil so thin. That quiet gesture was so grand. You stilled the waters on the sand, You filled my basket to the brim. I reached out, my needful hand. Questions, I couldn’t understand Some, judge on where they have not been. That quiet gesture was so grand. Things didn’t end as I had planned, Yet I’ve felt love over ten times ten. I reached out my needful hand, That quiet gesture was so grand. I am a Registered Nurse.. I have loved writing for as far back as I can remember. My first writing was experienced by drawing as a child. In 7th grade I wrote a poem about Abraham Lincoln that won an award and was read on the radio in Salt Lake City....
