You're Mine
I hate you For so many reasons I hate you because of who you are For what you do And for the way you do it I hate you For the sound of your voice Echoing in my ear Time after time… It soothes me In the strangest ways In the deepest places You aren’t supposed to go I hate you For the times you’ve saved me And the times You’ve thrown me away I’m never good enough. And still I’ve been there Every time you’ve needed To be lifted up I hate you For every way you’ve ever Told me no Or told me yes Or taken what you wanted Grasped it, held it And let go I hate you For being who you are For having those bright brown eyes That speak to me Holding me in ways That no one ever could You cage me Only to create a rage I can’t escape In the bottom of my mind I can’t leave it So the pain will never show Just release me one last time walk away I hate you And you can’t change me Before you change yourself And for all of this you're mine.

i mostly write slam poetry. i love to perform it live. i\\\'m a passionate speaker and i love the challenge of getting the emotion across. as it is, slam poetry is hard to understand on the page sometimes. I\\\'m going to have to rely on you...
