Young Girls Pain
They watched as she died . In their ignorance they recoiled, By being born she had commited a crime Hers was a short life Filled with misery, the physical pain seemed somehow lesser , Than the pain of rejection They looked away when they saw her, In the shadows she did live It was easier that way... No one seemed to care enough, To ask her how she was When to the doctors she went They would not meet her eyes And if they did by accident Only a look of disgust did they share Directly to her they could not speak But behind her back they whispered They called her dirt,said she was filth And yet her heart was pure as snow Not one consoled her while she lived But dozens feigned sorrow , while she on her death bed lay When time it came for her to rest, Between her parents in the earth Genuine tears flowed from those who realised She had only been a child.... 11 long years she did live.. And for each, they owed her an apology ...
