Your Eyes

Standing alone on a cold, bitter night, For today is the day that I make this right, My love, my hate, it all seems so fake, Next to what seemed like my biggest mistake, A chill filled with snow flows as you walk into my sight, And I brace myself for yet another fight, But I look into your eyes; they are like looking at the sky, And for the first time ever You cry, Not knowing what to think, not knowing what to do, I look at you as I cry too, Bringing you close, as tight as glue Frozen in tears, I lock my eyes with yours Looking at you, soaring in the blue, I manage to say, “I love you”.
