Your Feet and Your Fate

Inescapable. The ground's as solid as it ever was. Stretch your arms and catch the stars. Now is not the time for linked hands, Self-comfort. Love and empty gestures. There's no room for heroics in this rescue mission. It's a one-man show ... (and a one minute choice) Love or freedom? You decide. Your feet and your fate. Time's up Katie, Red pill or blue pill? This is your life. But remember I’ve seen you Katie. The longing in your face as you walk In the breeze. Arms stretched, eyes closed. Flying with your feet on the ground. Love or freedom Katie? it's a lonely life up here in the sky... but you know that. It's a lonely life down there too when you're the only one with wings.

I'm 21 years old and currently in the final year of a politics degree at Leeds University. I really enjoy writing poetry, but I'm very sporadic and need to dedicate more time to it!
