Your Glory Not Mine
Lord form my life as a would-be vessel, glaze me with Your Holy Spirit and in fire, prepare my being for what you want me to be, as you use me to fulfill Your desire. Help me to remember my overall purpose, that I in no wise would get in the way, smooth out the clumps of pride that are in me, for You are the potter and I am the clay. Please remind me as I will surely be tempted, to lay claim to the things you do in me, for without you I would truly be nothing, a lump of clay and what was to be. Just as the moon cannot give its own light, For it is dark and baron as it stands alone, only when the true light uses it as a reflection, will it appear ominously glorious when shown. Even the sound of the finest grand piano, when wonderfully played is truly grand, but the applause is not received for the piano, but for the skillful play of the musicians hand. Likewise may I merely be an instrument for your glory, reflecting your actions in place and time, for I was made only to give you glory, because any glory I reflect, is your glory not mine.
